East Park was a live drawing event inside a camera obscura. The upside-down trees that were projected onto the walls and ceiling of the room were drawn on paper directly on the wall. Performed multiple times to create a series of gestural charcoal and graphite drawings.

The resulting drawings are an embodied consideration of the historic parkland trees growing in Southampton's Victorian-era city parks. East Park was established on former Lammas lands, with land rights emanating from pre-capitalist times. Where by feudal laws the landowners permitted common grazing rights for 6 months of the year.
